It has been a while.

Yes, I know it has been a while since I have posted. We have been busy and out of town quite a lot. Trevor and I are both in school this summer so that is keeping us pretty busy. Jason turned five months old on June 31st. He is very close to weighing 20 lbs. and I haven't even started him on rice cereal yet. I will begin that soon. Jason has been rolling over (mostly back to front). He is such a smiley little guy. We love making him smile and giggle. Jason can now bear some weight on his legs. If he is sitting, I can gently pull on his arms and he will stand up. It is very impressive. He knows how to use those thunder thighs of his. He also likes to squeal for no apparent reason. I will include a video.

This last weekend, I went to St. George and played in a softball tournament. Trevor's wonderful mother drove all the way down from Malad to watch Jason for me. She is wonderful. It was very hard to leave him, but it was wonderful to have a couple days to myself.

He was obviously very surprised when I took this picture.

Last week, the Renaissance festival came to Cedar City. My friend Amber Rasch came along with us. We had a great time looking at (making fun of) weird people in festive costumes. The sword fighting and camel pictures are from that event. We also met a very nice costumed fellow that let us take a picture with him.
I was really hoping the camel wouldn't spit on me

The nice fellow in the costume that his sister made for him. I bet his mom drove him there.

I'm 4 Months Old

Jason turned four months old on Sunday. We took him to the doctor today. He weighs 17lbs 6oz and is 26.5 inches long. While at the doctor's office, Jason had to get some shots. He has not been a happy camper today. I left him with Trevor while I went to get my hair cut. Apparently, Jason screamed the entire time I was gone. Don't let the happy pictures fool you. He has been a stinker all day.

On a different note, I would like to update you on our lives. Trevor and I are both attending school this summer. I am taking 8 credits. I'm not sure how many he is taking. I plan to return to school full time again in the fall. Things are going well. I am trying my darnedest to lose the baby weight. It doesn't seem to be working. I guess when you eat pasta and sweets the weight doesn't want to come off. That is all I am going to post since the baby keeps pushing buttons and screaming. But I will take shots over Polio any day.

The pictures at the bottom are of Jason in his new swim diaper and swim shirt. I am including them for Josie King. She is the wonderful gal who made them for me. Thanks again, Josie.

3 Months and a Birthday!

I know this is a little late, but I will post it anyway. Jason turned three months old last week. He is doing so well. He is such a happy baby. He is always smiling and giggling. He can hold his head up really well and roll over when he wants to. He already sleeps through the night. Sometimes he decides to wake up, but he just fusses a little and then puts himself back to sleep (sometimes he needs the binky to help him fall back asleep). Jason likes to eat. He is weighing in at about 16lbs (keep in mind that he was over 9lbs when he was born). We love him so much. He brings so much joy into our lives. The other pictures are from Trevor's birthday party. I got him a DELICIOUS ice cream cake from Maggie Moo's. A few friends came over. We played the Wii and had a great time.

Jason has grown some beautiful, black hair

He loves to suck his thumb. Hopefully he will stop doing that before he's sixteen!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Happy Birthday, Trevor!

Today is Trevor's birthday. I just wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday. I am so lucky to have him in my life. He is such a wonderful husband and father. I love you, Trevor. Also, good luck with your finals. The picture is of Trevor, his father Jason (who our little Jason is named after), and Trevor's younger sister Felicia.

Cousin Time!

My cousin Holly and her family came to Cedar a few days ago. Since Trevor was working, I decided to go over and visit with them. Holly has some adorable little baby twins and a super sweet and silly little 2 year old girl named Cambree. I don't have any pictures of the twins, but I am including some sweet pictures of Cambree and Jason. Cambree is so funny. I think she ate 10 pounds of cookie dough when I was over there. She was being a sneaky snake and kept sneaking the dough. She also kept asking to touch Jason. She would walk over and start petting him on the head. It was really cute. I included a couple of pictures of her holding him.

Peekaru! I scare you!

While searching the internet, I came across a baby website and I saw this interesting thing called a Peekaru. I found it to be probably the freakiest baby item in the world. It looks like the baby is popping out of it's mother. In it's defense, it would probably keep your baby quite warm, but I'm not sure I want my baby and I looking like that special scene from Alien (or Space Balls). The website I got the Peekaru picture from also included this oddly similar picture from Total Recall. I hope you enjoy.
