The Adventures of Tin Tin and his Mommy

I am well aware of how long it has been since I last posted. I'm going to make up for lost time with this post. Be ready for a lot of pictures. You may have noticed a reference to the name Tin Tin in my post title. Tin Tin is a nickname that my aunt Bonnie gave to Jason. She gave him that nickname because when he would say his name, it sounded like he was saying Tin Tin. It has stuck. We really like it.

Trevor left for Basic Training in September. Since he has been gone, Jason and I have been on many adventures. We have missed Trevor so much. I really cannot begin to explain how much I have missed him, but I will try. I feel like I have a hole in my heart. I told him in a letter that I missed him so much that it hurt. That is true. I get sick to my stomach when I start to think about missing him. During Trevor's Basic Training, we were only able to talk through writing letters. It was so hard. He was able to call home once for about 30 minutes. Those 10 weeks were really hard. When he began his advanced training (
AIT), he was able to have his phone back. We have been able to talk almost every evening. It is so nice to hear his voice every night. Trevor will be coming home on February 10th. I am so stinking excited to see him again. I'm sure you are sick of reading about my loneliness, so I will move onto the pictures.

As I said before, Jason and I have been on many adventures. We have been many places. Those places have included three different states. One of our first adventures was a trip to Twin Falls, Idaho. We went to see my cousin James,
Lyndsi (his wonderful wife), Eva, and Sophie (his daughters). I had a lot of fun with them. I really appreciate their patience with me. I was a little sad and crazy at that point.

We visited Shoshone Falls while we were in Twin Falls. It is so beautiful.

Jason and Noah
We made many trips to Delta, Utah.

Jason spent a lot of time in the car.

We were able to hitch a ride with my Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Bob. We rode with them up to Hamilton, Montana. We were able to spend some quality time with Gabe.

Bob and Bonnie had a beautiful property. Jason loved the garden and the playground. Unfortunately, I was horribly afraid of all the yellow jackets. I was horrified to find out that they like to spend time in rotten apples.

In October, we went to Hayley's wedding.

Jason was a dragon for Halloween. Everyone, including Jason, kept saying that he was a dinosaur.

In November, I was finally able to see Trevor. I flew out to South Carolina and got to spend two days with this handsome man.

Apparently, he CAN make a bed!

My uncles Herb and Chuck Cross were able to come to Trevor's Basic Training graduation.

We made many trips to the park.

Jason did some yard work. As you can see, he didn't make much of a dent in the leaf situation.

Shortly before Christmas, we made another trip to Twin Falls. Lyndsi, the kids, and I made some gingerbread houses. Sophie did more eating than she did building. I don't blame her.

Trevor was able to come home for a couple weeks at Christmas. This was the first time Trevor had seen Jason since September. This picture makes me tear up every time I look at it. There is so much love in that picture.

Trevor took Jason on a carousel at the mall.

We spent Christmas in Malad, Idaho. Santa found us there and ate the cookies Jason left for him.

We got to spend some time at Grandpa Monty's house. It was a lot of fun

Last week, Tyler and Lindsey came all the way from Chicago to visit us. We all met together in Delta. Grandpa Jim drove up from Cedar City. We decided to do what most people like to do in Delta. We went to the shooting range.

I was armed and extremely dangerous. Seriously, I would avoid being around me when I have a gun.

Don't mess with this grandpa! He is armed!

Who wears the pants in this relationship? My bet would be on Lindsey. Just look at the size of that gun!

We had many exciting adventures. We made quite a few trips to
Malad. I need to thank Cinniman for all the help she has been. I don't think I could have made it through with out her. She was always there for me and I really appreciate it.
