I know it has been a while since I did a post. Our summer hasn't really been very exciting, so I didn't really have anything to say. I will give you an update on us and include some pictures.
Trevor was promoted to Personal Training Manager at Golds Gym last month. I am really proud of him! He also just joined the National Guard. Yes, it may seem sudden, but we have been talking about this for a while. We decided that if he didn't find a teaching job, this is what we would do. He is leaving September 6th for Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He will be gone to Basic Training and AIT for about 5 months. I'm really nervous to be away from him for that long. The longest we have ever been away from each other is 2 weeks. During that time, I will be living at grandpa's house in Orem. Friends and family are welcome to visit, just let me know in advance, so I know you are not a murderer.
I (Erin) have been working at the Gold's Gym daycare all summer. I do a lot of work for very little pay. One benefit is that I can have Jason in there with me. Actually, that has been more of a frustration than benefit. My days consist of going to the daycare, chasing after Jason, doing dishes, putting Jason to bed, and then running on the treadmill. I find myself getting very frustrated because I never get a break from my toddler. Trevor has been working a lot lately and he is rarely home. Which means I rarely (never) get a break from my toddler. Moms need breaks!! As you can tell, I am at my wits end today.
Jason is a very energetic toddler. I am currently working on potty training the little devil. We have not been very successful. Whenever I put him on the potty, he cries and asks for his diaper. If he can ask for a diaper, then he is more than ready to be potty trained. Jason's most favorite things are his "wippy wops." That is how he says flip flops. He wears them all the time and would even wear them to bed if I let him (Trevor has let him wear them to bed). He wakes up in the morning and the first words out of his mouth are "wippy wops?" Some other favorites are candy, milk, saying "hi" to everyone he sees, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and his potty book.
I don't know what else to say, so I will just include some pictures. Some of the pictures are from a BBQ that we had with Aunt Maureen and the other pictures are from when my mother visited. There might be a couple other random ones too.

Jason is quite the jokester. He thinks it is funny to close his eyes when I take his picture.
